Mind you, this is a fanless laptop, but it performs very well, without generating much heat.

I like the way PhotoLab works: no library, just a folder structure with sidecar files. (I normally chose ISO 800 as the maximum, but I might go up to ISO 3200 from now on.) was right: With PL, I am confident that I will be able to shoot at higher ISOs and still get a good result. The temptation to buy a new camera for better ISO performance has gone. Well, PhotoLab produced a very clean image, and the sharpness was very surprising! Every high-ISO image that I throw at it, goes from "murky" to "clean". I had a picture taken at ISO 2000 with the Panasonic G80 and the Panasonic 14-140mm, the latter of which I had sold because the 12-35mm was sharper. I could get a much better result, with less effort. I have gone through some old pictures and re-edited them. With Dxo PL, I enable 2 modules and the result just looks awesome! With RawTherapee, I always had to be very careful to find the right mix of noise reduction and sharpening. I am blown away, especially by DeepPRIME, but also by the lens sharpness module. As RawTherapee didn't work very well on the MacBook, I decided to try out DxO PhotoLab 4. After having worked on a Linux machine for years (where I used mostly RawTherapee for my photo editing), I recently bought a MacBook Air M1 (16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, 8 core GPU).
